Two member of the commitee have negotiated a deal with Cooper Angling for a stretch of fishing along the Great Ouse, Ely (CB7 4AT)
Its is approx an hour drive from Sudbury, but is an excellent winter section and also fishes well in the summer in this slow moving stretch of the river
Species you could caught are carp, bream, perch, pike roach and zander all to specimen sizes.
You must be in pocession of you SLMDAA membership card to fish this stretch, but you can night fish and it has a good secure car park.
Note: there is a path that dog walkers use and the stretch is navigational by boats.
